Lennar, one of the nation’s biggest builders, is getting aggressive with incentives to keep sales moving in a softer housing market:

Offering up to 13% of the sales price in incentives — highest since 2009.
Average prices down 8.7% year-over-year, especially in Florida.
Prioritizing sales volume over profit margins to gain market share.
High mortgage rates are the new normal — little expectation of major rate drops ahead.
Resale sellers may face more pricing pressure as builders discount heavily.
